The Video Games Live Tour is back for 2008, “a grounbreaking live event celebrating the music of video games.  The event which was created by Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall will feature a full orchestra and choir accompanied by synchronized video, lighting, special effects, crowd interactivity, and live action.  This year they will be performing music from Final Fantasy, Halo, Mario, Zelda, Warcraft, Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Classic Arcade Meledys among others.  The show takes place 04.26.08 at The Beacon Theatre.  A pre-show festival starts at 7:00 PM with game competitions, game demos, and giveaways followed by the concert at 8:00 PM.  Tickets range from $35-$75 depending on your level (no pun intended).  I’m this show would be worth checking out just to hear an orchestra performing Casino Nights Zone from Sonic 2.
