As incredible and talented Mos Def is, when will Dante ever learn that $40+ ticket prices just ain’t cool, especially with the budgets everyone is on nowadays?? Just like every other show he has associated himself with in New York City over the last few years, he will be back at Highline Ballroom on 01.09.09 for a solo performance with an overpriced ticket. No other guests or openers have been confirmed yet but you can expect some of the usual friends to come by and say hello. Tickets are $40 in advance through ticketweb which means close to $50 or $45 at the door. Keep in mind tickets to the last hip-hop show ever at Knitting Factory with Rakim, Black Thought, Ge-ology, Beatnuts members, and plenty others were less than this.
