‘The Flagship Series,’ a tight party being assembled by Revive Da Live and Okayplayer will start taking place at Le Poisson Rouge on 11.06.08. LPR has been coming through with really interesting shows since opening it’s doors a couple of months ago. The series is scheduled to run their through spring 2009 with the first show proving this is going to be a fun residency. Their kickoff show will feature performances from Jeru the Damaja and Large Professor, bassist Esperanza Spalding, Shedrick Mitchell, alto saxophonist Jaleel Shaw, soprano/tenor saxophonist Marcus Strickland and of course Chris “Daddy” Dave. Other featured musicians include Slum Village drummer Daru, Igmar Thomas, Corey King and special guest Aaron Parks and hosted by Peter Rosenberg. Opening the show is Stimulus of Real Love Show. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door so grab them in advance.
