The Daptone hustle never stops, no joke.  Budos Band is playing quite often and the members have their hands on all sorts of side projects.  With Menahan Street Band releasing their debut LP Make the Road By Walking in October hopefully we can expect just as many shows from them as well.  They’ll return to the Southpaw stage on 12.20.08 where they played a little more than a month ago.  Special guests are confirmed as well.  Tickets are $14; 18+.  If you can’t make it that Friday night, head over to Mercury Lounge the night before on 12.19.08 and catch many of the same musicians when The Budos Band will give an intimate performance at the Lower East Side venue.  Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens join Budos for the night.  Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door; 21+.
