Lily Allen: New Album & Back in NYC
2.7.2009In 2007 Lily Allen had a string of several New York shows, starting at Hiro Ballroom and eventually working her way up to the larger stage at Webster Hall. Since then she’s been
somewhat quiet which may have been due to issues obtaining a work visa in the states. In the meantime, Allen has been working on completing her sophomore follow up album It’s Not Me, It’s You, which is primarily produced by Greg Kurstin. An industry veteran, Kurstin has worked on projects ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Nelly Furtado and also contributed to Lily Allen’s first record Alright, Still. ‘Everyone’s at It’ has already leaked and is a good sign of the direction the album is going in and just like her cover of ‘Window Shopper,’ her take on Britney Spears’ ‘Womanizer’ is another winner.
It’s Not Me, It’s You hits stores on Tuesday and in support of the album she’ll be touring back in the U.S. again. She is set to return to Roseland Ballroom again on 04.20.09. Tickets went on-sale yesterday for $32.
