By now most realize that when S.O.B.’s and Hot 97 team up to present the ‘Who’s Next’ series, it isn’t always freshman to the game like last month when they showcased Charles Hamilton. For February, they return to veterans who are going in a slightly new direction. This month on 02.25.09 they will feature Cypress Hill frontman B-Real and Somalian poet and musician K’Naan. B-Real is set to perform tracks off of his upcoming Duck Down release Smoke N Mirrors while K’Naan will be performing new music from his debut release Troubadour. Both records come out the day before the show and this will also serve as an unofficial album release party for the two. Rounding out the bill will be some fresh faces to keep a watch for including Yolanda Renee, Nipse Husstle, and especially KeysNKrates who have been getting lots of hype lately. Tickets are $15 and as always will be hosted by Hot 97’s Peter Roseberg; 21+.
