Guru’s Jazzmatazz will be appearing at Highline Ballroom on 01.31.07, tickets are $18. Aside from the date, that’s the only information available right now. Guru was supposed to perform a Jazzmatazz show at Bowery Ballroom in March, shortly after Jazzmatazz Vol. 4 was released but the show was cancelled and was never rescheduled. Should be interesting to see if they try again with the same band or if it is something new this time. With so many big names like Bob James and Donald Byrd I think it was just a scheduling conflict. The original all-star lineup was supposed to be Guru, Donald Byrd, Bob James, Vivian Green, Solar, DJ Doo Wop and The 7 Grand Band. Exact details on the band will be posted when available.
