With October just around the corner you can expect a lot of CMJ show announcements posted on here.  Last year was a really strong and diverse lineup of shows so it will be interesting to see what is assembled for 2008.  The first official show announcement on here is the People Under the Stairs event at Knitting Factory on 10.25.08.  PUTS was in Brooklyn last month and released the album Fun DMC this month.  Besides PUTS, the lineup is even stronger with reunited Stetsasonic, one of the original 80’s hip-hop bands from Brooklyn joined by original founding member Prince Paul.  If you need two reasons more to hit this up look no further.  Original Jungle Brothers members Mike G and Sammie B performs as well as world famous Beat Junkie and Dilated Peoples member DJ Babu.  Topping off the legnthy lineup is Zimbabwe Legit, YZ, and Just-Ice who hosts the show.  Tickets are on-sale for $20.
