One Step Beyond is Back; Flying Lotus Tonight
4.17.2009In the winter of 2008, Flavorpill introduced it’s ‘One Step Beyond’ program, a monthly Friday night series at The American Museum of Natural History. Each month 
featured a different lineup combining a mixture of emcees, bands, and DJs. Past artists included DJ Jazzy Jeff, Simian Mobile Disco, and a night with The Cool Kids and Kid Sister which featured a surprise appearance from Kanye West.
‘One Step Beyond’ will return to AMNH’s Rose Center for a Friday in April, May, and June. Tonight (04.17.09) they kick off with Flying Lotus and Kode9, an opportunity to catch them if you missed their performance last night at Love. The next two events go down 05.08.09 & 06.05.09 although the lineups for the night have not been confirmed. Tickets to tonight’s show are $25 and runs from 9:00 PM - 1:00 AM.
any word on who other performers will be? where can i find out it seems like the website hasnt been updated since last year.
There must be more then them 2 if it goes til 1am
The shows are usually announced 1-2 weeks before the show. If it’s a hot show, I would get them right away. Last year I went to the Talib Kweli, Buckshot & Pete Rock show and it got sold out. Show was dope man…it’s in a fuckin a museum, how could it not be.
