MF Doom…Not Dead

DOOM RESPONDS TO RUMORS
Every day for the past month we’ve been hit up by people wanting explanations, statements, clarifications, and declarations about MF DOOM. Is he lip synching? (No. Listen to the videos on Youtube.) Is he an impostor? (No, but he did lose some pounds.) Is he in the hospital? (No, he’s in his studio … or if not there, you can find him in the pub with the grub stain.)Reached earlier this morning at his home in Georgia, an alive and well MF DOOM issued this statement: “What up? I’m dead.”
DOOM was in Los Angeles recently and recorded a few verses at The Bomb Shelter studio, where Madvillain, Quasimoto, YNQ, and Madlib classics have been made. Among the new joints recorded was one with him and Guilty Simpson over J Dilla’s “Mash” and another over Dilla’s “Lightworks”. “Mash’s Revenge” will be released on the album “B-Ball Zombie War” on October 2nd.
I usually don’t post general music news unless its about an album release because the focus of this site is music events in NYC. There are a million music blogs that just post other writer’s stories and make that the content of their site which is something I want to avoid. When the news is relevant to an event, like this, dealing with MF Doom not showing up at performances, I’ll make an exception.
Its good to know that everything is OK with Doom…I still think its weird though that he has been so quiet since 2005’s Dangerdoom considering he had a reputation for releasing several albums a year and guest appearing on so many records.

good news
so does this mean then that the person on stage at ny to tokyo was lying when he said doom was in the hospital? i wasnt at the concert but everyone is sayin that somebody was on stage askin for a moment of silence for DOOM.
