Complete Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Lineup Confirmed

5.26.2009

Last month the initial details were released about the 2009 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.  Since then, Smif N Wessun, Styles P, and Pharoahe Monch were announced as some of tbhhf2009he first acts on board while up and comers battled in the ‘Show and Prove’ competition for a spot.

The full lineup for the fifth annual festival on 06.20.09 at Empire Fulton Ferry State Park has now been confirmed by Brooklyn Bodega and in appropriate fashion will feature a lot of New York based emcees and groups.  This year’s lineup will include: Pharoahe Monch, DJ Premier, Styles P, Dead Prez, Smif N Wessun, Grand Puba, J Period, Torae and Marco Polo, Tiye Phoenix, Keys N Krates, DJ Parler, DJ Misbehaviour, and MetermaidsRalph McDaniels returns again to host the festival.  They will also include a second stage with Donny Goines, Nyle, Eagle Nebula, Brown Bag All Stars, and Children Of The Night.

If you need more after a day of hiphop in Brooklyn make the move from DUMBO to Southpaw in Park Slop where they’ll host the after party later that night with a lineup TBA.  Tickets are available for $10 along with donations on the Bodega’s website or at local record shops including Fat Beats and Halcyon.

Good lineup but I’m hoping for some good special guests to really make this festival hot this year. I’ve seen them all before (at least all the bigger names), most of them a few times, but seeing Preemo for about the 7th time is still the thing I’m most excited about.

Yeah I wuz gunna say the same thing. Lineup is all talented but they all do a lot of shows in nyc so nothing rare to catch. Its fun being outside under the bridge there and its $10 so i will be there no matter what.
