The Clipse at The Studio at Webster Hall 05.11.09
5.14.2009
The Clipse started the week off with a free show at The Studio at Webster Hall. One of the numerous “sub venues” within Webster, this is a small room in the basement of the club which makes for upclose shows.
The Virginia duo took the stage at 9:00 and went in hard from the get go. They performed material off both Lord Willin and Hell Hath while promoting their upcoming release Til the Casket Drops which they stated will be out in September. Camera crews were on hand for a taping and a free lithograph of the show tour poster was given out when it finished. Really only disappointing part of the night was them not dropping ‘Cot Damn’ but you can’t complain when it’s a free show and they send you home with a gift. Setlist and more photos below:
- Intro
- Momma I’m So Sorry
- •We Got It For Cheap
- •What Happened To That Boy
- •Wamp Wamp
- •Chinese New Year
- •Grindin’
- •Mr. Me Too
- •Kinda Like A Big Deal

maybe you missed a part of the show cause i seen a video of them doing cot damn and i seen a video of styles coming out for im not you
I was there as well and Styles did not come out, that would have been hot though. Also, for the clipse to not even fill up a small room in webster hall for a free concert shows something about there marketing and how wack NY is being. The Clipse are dope and have been since they have been out. I just don’t understand why NY can’t show them some love. There new album will be dope when it drops. Hopefully they add new songs to the album because it has been leaked for a bunch of months already.
