Much like The Experiment show at Highline Ballroom this past December, Robert Glasper celebrated his birthday on Avenue A at Club Drom with his band and friends. Glasper’s regular Revive Da Live crew of Casey Benjamin, Chris Dave, and Derrick Hodge helped him celebrate in style, holding down the music as comrades Q-Tip and Bilal grabbed the mic at various points during the night to add their share. To complete the party Roy Hargrove came out with Tip rhyming besides him, definitely one of the highlights of the night. It was a loose atmosphere with Tip spitting mostly off the top of his head and of course sending his birthday wishes in song.
