The first of August featured the first party at Santos Party House with Rich Medina & Q-Tip DJing throughout the night. Later it was announced that this would be a weekly residency with the two and one month later the party is still going strong and probably drawing more and more people each week.  Full review and more photos inside…

Santos was packed out Friday night and by the time I made my way over there I had missed Rich Medina’s set. All I can tell you is that Q-Tip was on point and steady all night, sticking mostly to classic New York City 90’s hip-hop (and there is somethin plain cool hearing Tip spinning ATCQ tracks, no?). It’s been mentioned before but Santos is really a space you need to check out if you haven’t already been over there. Friday night they had both floors open…the upper level was packed out with hot dancing, hard hitting bass on their excellent sound system with the Abstract and Medina spinning music all night. The lower level was more loungy with another DJ downstairs and a chill table set up…just an overall good party worth of the $10 cover charge.
