Giant Step will be presenting their second installment of the Brownswood Sessions at Nublu tomorrow (12.27.07).  This monthly series showcases jazz and soul music from Giles Peterson’s UK-base label.  Scheduled performers from the sessions include José James, Elan Mehler, DJ Moni, TK Wonder and Duke (GAEA).  Can’t find any pricing info but the show is 21+.

Jose James’ debut album The Dreamer comes out in the end of January and should be interesting.  He has a real laid back jazz feel and a voice that reminds me of Lou Rawls with tracks produced by Giles Peterson, Flying Lotus, and Basement Jaxx.
